The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has proposed a Rail Tour package from Lucknow and Kanpur for Shirdi Sai Dham / Shani Temple & Trambkeshwar Jyotirling (Nasik) Darshan.
Legend of Puri Jagannath Temple
The traditional story concerning the origins of the temple is that here the original image of Jagannath (a deity form of Vishnu) at the end of Krita yuga manifested near a banyan tree,nearseashore in the form of an [[Blue Sapphire|Indranila] nilamani] or the Blue Jewel. It was so dazzling that it could grant instant moksha,so the god Dharma or Yama wanted to hide it in the earth,and was successful.In Dvapara Yuga King Indradyumna of Malwa wanted to find that mysterious image and to do so he performed harsh penances to obtain his goal. Vishnu then instructed him to go to the Puri seashore and find a floating log to make an image from its trunk.
The King found the log of wood.He did a magnum yajna from which god YajnaNrisimha appeared and instructed that Narayana should be made as four fold expansion,i.e.Paramatma asVasudeva,his Vyuha as Samkarshana,Yogamaya as Subhadra,and his Vibhava asSudarsana.Vishwakarma appeared in the form of artist and prepared images of Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra from the tree. Chiranjeevi faces trouble at Pushkaram
Amidst vociferous protests from Telangana protagonists, Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi took the holy dip in river Pranahita and performed special pujas at Arjunagutta on the banks of the river on Sunday during the ongoing Pranahita Pushkaram.

Tirupati Temple earns Rs, 117.22 crore in One Year on the Sale of “Quick Darshan” Tickets
Tirumala Tirupati Venkateswara Temple located in the hill town of Tirumala in Tamil Nadu is considered to be the richest religious shrine in India and one of the richest in the world. The temple just got richer. In just one year, temple authorities have managed to raise an amount of Rs. 117.22 crore, thanks to the sales of the “Quick Darshan” ticket sold at an amount of Rs. 300 each.
The Quick Darshan tickets allow pilgrims for speedy access to the main shrine of Lord Venkateswara inside the temple. 39 lakh devotees bought the Quick Darshan tickets in 12 months, starting 21st October last year, when these tickets were introduced.
