Jaipur Jantar Mantar marked as UNESCO Heritage Site

Jantar Mantar - An astronomical observatory of the 8th Century in India, was built in the cities of Jaipur, Ujjain, Mathura, Varanasi and New Delhi.

Jaipur one, being the biggest has been granted world heritage status by UNESCO. The decision was taken after reviewing 37 sites in a UNESCO member meeting at Brasilia.

This will definitely boost the tourism sector in Jaipur and Rajasthan in whole.
